Celebrating Culture Through Cuisine: Potluck at GCM

At Global College Malta, diversity is one of our greatest strengths — and what better way to celebrate it than through the universal language of food?

Last week, the College hosted a vibrant and heartwarming potluck event that brought together staff and students from all walks of life. Each staff member prepared and brought traditional dishes from their home countries, transforming the campus into a global food festival for the day.

From the rich and comforting flavours of Maltese cuisine to the aromatic spices of Indian curries, the event was a delicious journey around the world. Mauritian delicacies, Colombian specialities, and Zambian favourites added even more variety to the table — both literally and culturally. It was a beautiful reminder of the many backgrounds that make up our community.

Our students joined in as well, tasting and sharing stories of their memories. The potluck became more than just a meal — it was an exchange of culture, tradition, and connection.

The event not only showcased the culinary talents of our staff but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the cultural richness that surrounds us at Global College Malta. 

We’re proud to be a college that celebrates inclusion, unity, and shared experiences. Here’s to more such moments that bring us together — one plate at a time.
