Our Business School is seeking a dynamic and practitioner-focused academic to contribute to the delivery of our Professional Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme. The role involves teaching at the doctoral level, supervising doctoral research theses, and contributing to curriculum development to ensure high-quality learning outcomes for experienced professionals.
Teaching and Delivery: Deliver engaging doctoral-level modules tailored for experienced managers.
Research Supervision: Supervise DBA student theses, guiding them through their research journeys from proposal to viva.
Programme contribution: Contribute to the development and quality assurance of the College’s DBA programme and enhancing the student experience.
Industry Liaison: Foster professional networks and maintain a strong connection between the College and corporate partners.
Academic Development: Contribute to research outputs (publications, conferences) and uphold academic integrity and ethical standards.
Doctoral Degree: A PhD or DBA from a recognised university.
Research Experience: Evidence of successfully supervising doctoral level students to completion in a recognised European higher education institution(s)
Industry Experience: Significant professional experience at a senior management or executive level, ideally combined with prior academic experience.
Teaching Excellence: Proven ability and track record of teaching and supervising students at doctoral level. The ability to teach in a “practical” rather than purely theoretical way is highly valued, as the College’s DBA is aimed at senior managers aiming to advance their leadership skills.
Research Capability: Evidence of research activity or potential to contribute to business-related journals or professional publications.
Accreditation Awareness: Familiarity with professional doctorate structures and quality assurance frameworks.
