Global College Malta will look at both your academic credentials as well as any work experience and other life experiences that you may have. The Application Process
Applying for The Course

- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Scanned copy of all academic and vocational qualifications, including transcripts of results
- Scanned copy of Police Conduct Certificate (If Applicable)
- Scanned copy of passport or ID card
- Scanned copy of an approved English Language qualification (ex. Minimum 5.5 Bands in IELTS)
- Personal Statement
- 1 reference letters from past academic institutions and/or employers
- One passport-sized photo
Verification of Documents
The submitted documents are verified by the Academics Department.
English Literacy Interview
An appointment is established between the student and the Admissions Officer to test the spoken English language ability of the student and is carried out by means of a video call (Microsoft Teams).
Review process
If the College approves the student, the Admissions Officer shall send the following to the student:
- Conditional Offer Letter
- Invoice
Program Fees
The payment by the student is required to secure a place at the College and start the Visa application process with the Visa Authority. Students may wish to pay online using the following link:

College Documentation (Visa Support Documents)
The Admissions Officer shall send to the student the following documents:
- Acceptance Letter
- Program Timeline
- Receipt
- Updated Invoice
Extended Visa Submission Process
- The Admissions Officer will be booking VFS appointment on behalf of the Student.
- The Student has to prepare and submit documentation as per the Checklist to start the Visa Submission process on the VFS Appointment date.
- The following are the documents:
- Visa Support Documents
- Bank Statement:
- Covering a period of the last three months
- A minimum of €11,000 balance is required
- Bank Certificate , if applicable: Sponsor Affidavits
- Visa Application Form (Digitally text Fill)
- Valid Passport (With a remaining validity period of at least two years.)
- Flight Tickets
- Proof of Accommodation (at least 15 nights+ of confirmed accommodation)*
- Medical and Travel Insurance (covering a minimum sum assured of €30,000 for 120 days from the date of departure and geographical coverage starting from Malta covering Schengen countries)
- GDPR Form
- International ATM Visa or Master Debit Card of the student and sponsor (If applicable)
- Recent passport photo according to ICAO standards (not older than 6 months)
- Students will be notified by email and invited for a visa interview 3-4 weeks after document submission.
- After Completion of the Visa interview, the passport will be sent back with the decision taken by the Visa authority.
Overview When Travelling to Malta
- After Visa approval, the student must send a copy of the Visa to the Admissions Officer.
- The Admissions Officer shall advise the student of the intake start date and send a list of important items to carry to Malta, especially the laptop for assignments and a checklist to apply for the residential permit.
- Once all the information is communicated to the student, the following information must be sent by the student
to the Admissions Officer:
- Flight Tickets
- Hotel Reservation
- Accommodation Booking
- It is very important that upon arrival to Malta, the student communicates with the Admissions Officer to set an appointment for the remaining formalities.
*The Management holds the final decision to accept or reject any admission.

If you are applying for the Recognition of any Prior Learning that you’ve gained (whether that’s previously certificated learning or experiential learning), once you have submitted your course application to us our Recruitment Team will get in touch with you and share a couple of short forms that you’ll need to complete for us before we can grant you academic credit towards your chosen course.

How can I check whether I am eligible for the
course of my choice?

The College operates an innovative entry scheme called the “Recognition of Prior Learning” (RPL). Our RPL scheme allows prospective students to be credited for learning that they may have completed prior to joining Global College Malta. Our MFHEA-approved RPL scheme avoids students having to duplicate previous learning they may have undertaken whilst ensuring at the same time that our students have attained the learning outcomes appropriate to their chosen award.
The College can recognise two types of prior learning: firstly the College can give academic credit for previously certificated learning that a student may have completed, for example individual modules or course units that the student has successfully completed at another institution. Secondly, the College can recognise experiential learning achieved outside of a formal learning environment such as a college or university. By means of example, experiential learning may include learning gained as part of work experience, volunteering or as part of a training course, but for which the student has received no formal qualification.
