Academic Dean-GC Malta

It’s not easy to capture in a few words what makes Global College Malta so special! And yet, if you visit our College or browse through these web pages, you’ll very soon realize that there is a shared spirit in everything that we do at the College and a very strong drive for success! Following a long career as a senior academic manager in British universities and international higher education, I am incredibly proud to be part of a College that delivers leading educational provision, which has a strong awareness of its global responsibilities, and is firmly dedicated to helping drive economic and social development in Malta and beyond.

Our institution is made up of an incredible community of people determined to make a real difference. Through our well-qualified and highly professional teachers, we have always taken great pride in our approach to providing inspiring and high-quality student teaching and learning. What we teach and the way we teach it is designed to ensure that all our students, no matter what their backgrounds or prior experiences might be, benefit from the academic challenge and the opportunity to develop as individuals.

All these things help ensure that when you graduate you are really well placed to realize your individual goals and aspirations. We want each and every one of our students to feel respected and valued, and for each of our students to know that they are part of a College that is committed to creating a compassionate and supportive community that enables us all to succeed. If you, our students, don’t succeed then neither do we! I very much look forward to welcoming you to the College and to seeing you not only grow academically and professionally but also, and of equal importance, as a confident individual and global citizen. The World can be your oyster!

With warm wishes,
Professor Chris Haslam
