Pink October at GCM: Spreading Awareness, Supporting the Cause

Every October, people across the globe come together in a powerful show of unity and support to raise awareness about breast cancer. Known as Pink October, this month is dedicated to education, advocacy, and solidarity with those affected by the disease. At GCM, we proudly joined the movement with a heartfelt campaign to engage our students and staff in spreading the message and contributing to the cause.

As part of our initiative, pink hand bands were distributed to students, serving as both a symbol of awareness and a reminder of the importance of early detection and regular health checks. These bands were received with enthusiasm, creating a visible sense of community and care across the campus.

To take our commitment a step further, we also placed a donation box at the reception area throughout the month. Staff, students, and visitors were encouraged to contribute whatever they could, knowing that even the smallest gesture could make a meaningful difference.

At the end of October, all collected donations will be given to a trusted organisation that supports individuals and families affected by breast cancer. This contribution, however modest, reflects our shared values of compassion, empathy, and action.

Pink October is not just about wearing a colour—it’s about making a statement. By participating in this global awareness month, GCM hopes to continue empowering our community to stand up, speak out, and support one another.
